The Quiet House Library Annual Membership

The Quiet House Library Membership entitles the member to borrow library materials from various library collections. The maximum library items that can be borrowed are 6 at a time. The member who subscribes is responsible for returning all items, paying late fees, and borrowing library items appropriate for the ages of the recipients. 

The late fee is about twenty-five cents per day and if an item is damaged or lost then the full replacement cost is charged. 

The library collections are Intellectual Thought & Creativity, Fiction, Non-Fiction, Music and Film.  Books are available for all age groups, children, young adults and adults.

The lending period is three weeks, although some items such as film and music will be checked out for only seven days, in some cases.

Once one becomes a member, they must verify their address to ensure that library materials can be shipped to their address and that it is a valid address. A recent utility bill or other correspondence can be emailed to verify one's residence, or a post card will be mailed to the address given during payment processing. 

Each new member will be mailed a library card which will allow them to place an item on hold, borrow various library materials and to request research assistance.

Library materials are shipped via the USPS to each patron's address and in turn are returned by the patron using a provided return label and the same shipping box to his or her nearest USPS office.  Each patron can email their library item choices via email or place them on hold. Then they will be shipped to them in a timely manner.
